I have 40 years experience working with children of all ages. I have been the Director of BCCC since March 2007 .

I am passionate about Early Childhood Education as I love being a part of children’s wonder and excitement as they discover, explore and create their world.

Lucy

Office Administrator, Bachelor of Business, Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care

I have worked at BCCC for over 2 years, but my ties to the Centre start from when I attended the Centre as a child, and through the years with my two boys attending the centre. I went back to University to study social work at the start of 2022 and decided to change occupations to make the work/study/mum life balance more manageable. I am grateful that I have been able to job share the role in the office with Trish. I enjoy spending time in the rooms with the children from time to time, but also helping families with any queries they have in regards to their child’s care or accounts, as well as managing the administration side of the business.

Trish

Office Administrator, Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care

I started working in the office at BCCC in 1996, with my daughter attending the centre at the same time. In 2004 I decided to have a break before returning again in 2010, and have been here since.

I have enjoyed getting to know children and their families over the years and working alongside a great team of educators in a beautiful setting.

Kimberley

I love to be able to collaborate with families to recognise children's strengths and to work together to build on children's interests. I really enjoy providing sensory experiences where I can explore with the children and share in their learning, wonder and joy.

Nina

I am passionate about supporting children's holistic development and wellbeing. I offer yoga and meditation techniques that connect the mind, body and soul, infusing a sense of calm and peace in the children and their learning environment. This enriches their ability to focus and learn.

My gentle, soft nurturing nature guides the children in developing positive dispositions for learning such as patience, empathy and curiosity. My healthy lifestyle gently influences children to bring balance to each day.

Raine

Diploma of Children’s Services

I have 22 years experience caring for children, 18 years of these working with under 2’s.

I love engaging with children, supporting them to reach their full potential, in a nurturing environment. I am excited by possibilities and growth, of the children and of myself and the opportunities to explore on own terms and at own pace.

Outside of BCCC, I am interested in ceramics and theatre and costume. I love sharing new experiences with the children involving clay, encouraging and supporting all age groups to engage, experiment and achieve through process.

Libby

Diploma of Early Childhood, currently studying Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education)

I have 20 years experience working in Early Childhood Education, 10 of those at BCCC.

Working with young children is extremely rewarding, brings me so much joy and amazes me daily.  I just adore children’s curiosity, wonder and awe about the world around them, a trait I think that all adults should hold on to! Working with children teaches me new things every day as I provide them with opportunities to spark interests, inspire inquisitiveness and support learning and discovery along the way.

I believe nature, art, music and movement are essential in a child’s development, and I love to incorporate these daily. My happy, nurturing, empathetic personality allows me to form strong, secure bonds with children in my care. I have a great understanding and passion for the importance of children’s mental health and emotional development, as well as working with children who need additional support.

Angela

Sarah

Bachelor of Teaching (0-5 Years), Masters in Child Play Therapy

During my career I have worked with children of all ages within both private and community based services. I have been at Bangalow Community Children’s Centre for 12 years, working primarily with the 3-4 and 0-2 age groups.

I have always been drawn to young children. I  empathise with them and am intrigued by their uniqueness and inquisitive natures . I believe it is a privilege to be able to learn alongside children and help pave the way for their future success as learners. I have realised through my work in early childhood education that alongside educating children we need to be supporting families and their children with their mental health needs and behavioural challenges that arise. I hope to be able to provide child centred play therapy to children within childcare services as well as filial therapy to support families.

I am from Sydney originally and my husband and I moved to this area with 2 of our sons in 2010. I now have 3 boys, Floyd & Camden are in high school and Alfie is in primary school. I enjoy travelling, walking in nature, reading and celebrating life with friends!

Values that are important to me are being respectful and having compassion for others.
